I was responsible for taking this map from concept to first art pass. Using a rough concept, I built the assets needed to create the visual design of a desert wasteland including rocks, terrain textures, and scattered pois. I created the shaders needed to blend the sand into the cracks of the rocks and the decals needed to make the rocks blend seamlessly into the terrain. This treatment was a big success and ended up being used in several maps. After I was pulled onto the POE map, another artist took it over and the composition changed significantly in the shipping map. I also took the lush secrete dungeon from paper map to first art pass and another artist took it over and did the polish.
